(Senior) BESS Specialist - EPCm

We are looking for a talented and driven colleague who is enthusiastic about BESS and infrastructure projects to join our EPCm team and contribute with technical as well as commercial perspectives on the development and execution of our customers' BESS projects.

Your new team

As our new BESS Project Manager, you’ll join our EPCm team in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment, working closely with suppliers, partners, and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery and completion of our customers’ BESS sites.

Your new role

We are seeking a BESS Specialist with strong technical insight into energy storage systems to join our EPCm team. Your main responsibility will be to review, validate, and advise on BESS solutions throughout the development, design, and execution phases of BESS and BESS + PV/Wind projects. You will act as a key technical advisor between developers, suppliers, consultants, and the client – ensuring that all solutions are technically sound, compliant, and optimized for project requirements. 

How you will make a difference for Hybrid Greentech 

  • Review and assess technical designs, specifications, and supplier proposals for BESS systems

  • Advise clients and project teams on technology selection, configuration, and integration strategies

  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and grid requirements

  • Conduct technical due diligence and risk assessments on BESS designs and components

  • Prepare technical recommendations and review reports to support procurement and contracting decisions

  • Participate in design reviews, FAT/SAT testing, and commissioning inspections as a technical representative

  • Collaborate with electrical and PV engineers on BESS–PV–grid integration

  • Contribute to the development of internal standards and best practices for BESS projects

  • Become part of a team of internal and external Subject matter expert

 

To succeed in this role you should have

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Power Systems, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with BESS projects or energy storage systems

  • Strong technical understanding of BESS architecture (battery cells, battery modules, inverter/PCS, EMS, HVAC, fire safety, enclosures)

  • Experience in technical review, design verification, or advisory roles in EPC/EPCm contexts

  • Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC, UL, ISO, NFPA) and grid compliance requirements

  • Fluent in English; Danish language skills are an advantage

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to evaluate and communicate complex technical solutions

  • Strong communicator and trusted technical advisor

  • Structured, proactive, and capable of driving technical alignment across stakeholders

  • Team-oriented and motivated by collaboration in multidisciplinary environments
