DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a talented and ambitious DevOps Engineer, who is eager to join our team to pursue and manage the platform delivering Virtual Power Plant services and help shape the development lifecycle of the engineering system over the future of the company.
Who are we?
Hybrid Greentech inspire organisations to invest in energy storage so we together can reach 100% renewable energy. We and our customers are in an emerging renewable market that will face 30-fold growth over the coming years.
Founded in 2018 Hybrid Greentech, develops and operates an AI-driven software ecosystem for sizing and real-time optimisation of energy storage, and Power to X solutions in energy markets. We are a team of 17 people with strong domain knowledge in renewable energy, energy storage, machine learning, and AI who want to revolutionise energy storage, grid-scale battery systems, and Power to X flexibility in energy and power markets.
As our DevOps Engineer...
Based in our Høje Taastrup office, you will join our team with mixed nationalities and seniorities. We work on implementing intelligent decision making and integration of renewables and energy storage systems to the energy markets and power grids. You'll be working with the software team in enabling the intelligence, decision making for our fully AI-driven Virtual Power Plant by building out our infrastructure backend, and improving our internal processes for deploying and managing our software.
The DevOps Engineer reports to the CTO at Hybrid Greentech, whose main work location is Høje Taastrup.
More specifically, your role will be:

Work with terraform (IaC), AWS infrastructure and Github Actions for deploying our services

Enabling the improvement of site reliability of our internal services

Reducing the friction between developers and the infrastructure

Lay the foundation of how we handle observability with structured logging, log-monitoring and storage

Working together with the software and the data engineers to provide observability and monitoring

Identifying cost-optimisation possibilities and helping improve how we launch infrastructure for delivering our services

Establishing the foundation of the dev-ops and infrastructure systems
What are the good skills to have?
-
2-3 yrs + experience in a DevOps role using a Cloud provider (Google, AWS, etc.,)

Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Github Actions would be beneficial
-
Worked with Docker / Podman container runtimes

Experience Infrastructure-as-Code tools, knowledge of Terraform
-
Experience with Ansible or similar provisioning / configuration management tools
Skills that are good to have and will give you an edge

Experience with AWS services and infrastructure

Experience with networking and network security is beneficial
-
Logging in distributed systems using tools like Jaeger
-
Elastic Stack, Humio, Splunk or similar logging systems

Kubernetes experience is not strictly necessary

Knowledge of builds in Rust is beneficial but not necessary
