DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a talented and ambitious DevOps Engineer, who is eager to join our team. The role involves overseeing the platform that delivers Virtual Power Plant services and contributing to shaping the development lifecycle of our engineering system for the future of the company.
Joining Hybrid Greentech as DevOps Engineer means you'll have a pivotal role in shaping our product development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our solutions.
Who are we?
Hybrid Greentech inspires organisations to be green pioneers and invest in electrical energy storage so that together we can reach 100% renewable energy. We and our customers are in an emerging renewable market that will face 30-fold growth over the coming years.
The company was founded in 2018 and by using the latest research and industry knowledge, we are developing a fully integrated data-driven AI software ecosystem for energy storage and Power to X. Our software identifies the best investment decisions for specific use cases and operates storage assets to increase revenue and performance. We are an international team of 20+ people with strong domain knowledge in renewable energy, energy storage, machine learning, and AI who want to revolutionise energy storage, grid-scale battery systems, and Power to X flexibility in energy and power markets.
Based in our Høje Taastrup office, you will join our diverse product development team. We work on implementing intelligent decision making and integration of renewables and energy storage systems to the energy markets and power grids.
More specifically, your areas of responsibility will be:

Collaborate with the development team to streamline CI/CD pipelines

Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) to meet performance and cost-efficiency goals

Implement automation for configuration management and infrastructure provisioning

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
-
Enhance security measures and ensure compliance with best practices
-
Stay up to date with the latest DevOps trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team
What you Bring and your Qualities
A great candidate will have some combination of the following qualities and experiences:
-
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
-
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)
-
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
-
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
-
Familiarity on working with metrics stores and Grafana (e.g., VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus)
-
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, OpenTracing)
-
Solid understanding of networking and security principles

A passion for green tech and a commitment to sustainability
The following experiences are a nice addition but not necessary:

Experience with AWS services and infrastructure

Experience with networking and networking security is beneficial
-
Logging in distributed systems using tools like Jaeger
-
Elastic Stack, Humio, Splunk or similar logging systems
-
Kubernetes experience is not strictly necessary
-
Knowledge of builds in Rust, C++ and/or C is beneficial but not necessary
