System Performance Analyst
We are looking for a System Performance Analyst to help building the analytical backbone that enables Hybrid Greentech to understand, track, and continuously improve the performance of our growing energy portfolio across European energy markets.
Why this role matters
For a fast-growing energy trading company, the ability to translate raw operational and market data into actionable insight is becoming critical. This role exists to close the gap between what our assets do in the field and what that means for P&L, and long-term portfolio value.
The role
This is an individual contributor role embedded at the intersection of energy markets, asset operations, and financial analytics. You will own the design and delivery of performance reporting across our full portfolio — covering technical availability, market participation, revenue realization, and forecast accuracy.
You will collaborate closely with trading, engineering, and finance teams, in short you will help both trading and finance departments in building our long term and short-term strategies. The role requires both analytical depth and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
What you will do
-
Investigate system downtimes and curtailments, quantifying their financial impact on the P&L and flagging root causes to operations and engineering.
-
Track market positions across day-ahead, intraday, and balancing markets, maintaining a clear view of portfolio exposure and activation performance.
-
Build and maintain operational KPI dashboards in Grafana covering real-time and historical performance for internal and external stakeholders.
-
Produce P&L breakdowns per asset, asset type, bidding zone, and market to support commercial decision-making and investor reporting.
-
Track forecast performance across energy, capacity, and price forecasts, providing structured feedback to improve model accuracy over time.
-
Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis across revenue streams, identifying drivers of outperformance or underperformance each period.
-
Benchmark portfolio performance against peer assets and market indices using normalized captured value metrics.
-
Forecast cash flow and collateral requirements based on market exposure, settlement timelines, and contractual obligations.
What you bring
Experience and skills (required)
-
3+ years of experience in energy analytics, quantitative finance, or asset performance roles within power markets or storage.
-
Strong SQL skills and experience working with time-series data at scale (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or similar).
-
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, reporting automation, and model development
-
Structured analytical thinking with the ability to isolate financial drivers and communicate them clearly to business stakeholders.
What we offer
-
Direct ownership of a critical function in a fast-scaling company — you will assist in building the performance analytics practice from the ground up.
-
A collaborative environment with short decision lines, high trust, and strong cross-functional execution.
-
The opportunity to work with forward-looking customers and partners driving electrification and the green transition.
Ready to make performance visible?
If you are driven by the idea of turning complex energy market data into clear, actionable insight that helps scale one of Europe’s most ambitious BESS portfolios, we would love to hear from you.
Deadline
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until 27 Jul 2026. We reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier if a suitable candidate is identified and accepted.
