Head of Sales – IPP Partnerships
We are looking for a Head of Sales - Independent Power Producers Partnerships to lead the commercial strategy and execution for growing Hybrid Greentech’s portfolio of IPP and asset-owner partnerships across Europe.
About Hybrid Greentech
Hybrid Greentech is a Danish energy trading company and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) operator accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon energy system. Through our advanced flexibility platform, we connect, aggregate, and optimize utility-scale and distributed energy resources (DERs) including grid-scale batteries and renewable assets to provide grid services, decarbonize energy consumption, and enhance grid resilience. We are a diverse, international team of 30+ based in Høje Taastrup, building technology that makes 100% renewable energy workable in practice.
This role scales our partnerships with Independent Power Producers and asset owners across Denmark and Europe. You will help partners unlock stronger revenues through trading, optimisation, flexibility participation, and value-stacking across power and ancillary markets.
The role
We are looking for a Head of Sales - Independent Power Producers Partnerships to lead the commercial strategy and execution for growing Hybrid Greentech’s portfolio of IPP and asset-owner partnerships across Europe.
You will sell Hybrid Greentech’s services to IPPs within solar and wind and similar customers, and work closely with trading, product, and operations to translate market opportunities into scalable agreements that deliver strong outcomes for partners and repeatable growth for Hybrid Greentech.
What you will do
-
Own the commercial strategy and execution for selling Hybrid Greentech’s services to IPPs and asset owners.
-
Build and develop a strong pipeline of IPPs, developers, funds, and asset owners across Denmark and Europe.
-
Identify and close partnerships for renewable and storage assets (BESS, hybrid sites, renewable generation).
-
Define and negotiate commercial agreements (route-to-market, optimisation, flexibility participation, revenue share structures).
-
Develop value propositions and value-stacking frameworks tailored to different IPP profiles and asset types.
-
Collaborate with trading and product teams to ensure offerings align with market dynamics and technical capabilities.
-
Manage strategic key accounts end-to-end: onboarding, expansion, performance, and long-term retention.
-
Represent Hybrid Greentech at relevant industry events, conferences, and stakeholder forums.
What you bring
Experience and skills
-
3–7 years of experience in energy trading, renewables commercial roles, asset optimisation, origination, or B2B sales in the energy sector.
-
Strong understanding of IPP needs and decision-making, including project economics, risk, revenue models, and bankability.
-
Proven ability to negotiate and close complex energy contracts and partnerships.
-
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build trust with senior decision-makers.
-
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex technical products into clear commercial propositions.
-
Strong pipeline discipline and structure, able to create clarity from ambiguity and balance strategy with execution.
-
Language: English (required)
Nice to have
-
Master’s degree in engineering, business, or economics.
-
Experience with route-to-market structures, ancillary services, or optimisation frameworks for BESS and hybrid assets.
-
Network across IPPs, developers, funds, and asset owners in Northern Europe.
-
Language: Danish and/or German (plus).
What we offer
-
Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
-
Opportunity to shape the commercial growth of a rapidly scaling clean tech company.
-
A collaborative, mission-driven team focused on the energy transition and decarbonization.
-
High ownership and room to shape your role in a trust-based culture with short decision lines.
