Data Analyst within Energy Trading for energy storage expert and software company

Can you accelerate the analytics of our Virtual Power Plant?

​

Based in our Høje Taastrup office, you will join our team with mixed nationalities and seniorities. We work on implementing intelligent decision making and integration of renewables and energy storage systems to the energy markets and power grids. You'll be working with the software team in enabling the intelligence, decision making for our fully AI-driven Virtual Power Plant. 

​

The role reports to the CTO at Hybrid Greentech whose main work location is Høje Taastrup.

​

More specifically, your areas of responsibility will be:

​

• Perform market analysis and develop experiments to study the price formation in the power markets

• Develop new trading strategies and execute day-to-day trading strategies for energy storage assets

• Work closely with the ML engineers and software engineers to deploy trading strategies and analytics tools for determining best trading strategies

• Optimise trading and real time control of portfolios to achieve synergies between them.

• Inform and shape our business strategy by working closely on the KPIs and Operational metrics of the business

• Shape the trading and market analytics for the business

• Work within public-funded research projects, collaborating with universities and students to further the state-of-the-art within energy markets and trading

You fit the profile well, with the following...

​

• 2+ years of experience as an analyst using SQL and Python

• Previous work experience as a data analyst

• Excellent communication skills

• Interest in learning, understanding and expanding your knowledge in power markets

• Ability to bridge the gap between the technical and comercial side of power trading

• Analysing data and training statistical models to predict prices and spreads, as well as fundamental variables

 

Nice to have but not strictly necessary​...

​

• Experience within power markets, energy trading and/or alternatively experience in working with financial markets

• Experience with using DBT

• Used to working with cloud services

• Proficient with Git for version control

​

Terms:​

• Office location in Høje Taastrup with approximately 10 traveling days

• Salary package according to qualifications and results
