About Hybrid Greentech

We have deeptech knowledge within energy storage and hydrogen that supports large organizations in the effort to reach 100% renewable energy. We want to make it simple to leverage the full revenue potential for energy storage. We and our customers are in an emerging renewable market that will face 30 fold growth over the coming years.

Hybrid Greentech is a 4-year old company entering the scale-up phase, developing an AI-driven software ecosystem for sizing and real-time optimisation of energy storage, and Power to X solutions in energy markets. We are a team of 10 people with strong domain knowledge in renewable energy, energy storage, machine learning, and AI who want to revolutionise energy storage, grid-scale battery systems, and Power to X flexibility in energy and power markets to balance the generation and the consumption of the electric power systems with large shares of renewable energy.

Electric systems are complex and dynamic but digitization of the sector made access to data which allows to develop data driven methods to operate energy storage systems. Our solution concentrate all the knowledge gathered by our technical team into a software tool that collects electricity markets, electric grid status and weather data to schedule and operate energy storage systems optimally. Behind the scene, HERA our AI engine forecasts the operation to increase operating profit and extend the energy storage system lifetime.


About the team

You’ll be working as a part of an experienced software engineering team and PhDs in the energy sector developing a product across the world to accelerate deployment of energy storage to support the green energy transition.


About the Role

You’ll be helping in:

  • Building, improving, and expanding our architecture for control and operation of the Virtual Power Plant (VPP on that allows real-time control and scheduling of operations of energy storage

  • collaborating with external partners and suppliers to integrate the software seamlessly through API (s)

  • Make sure that control algorithms can be built and utilised with high performance

  • Expanding on our support of services we can offer for energy storage systems using software


About you

The successful candidate will have experience designing and building standard methodology data platforms. He/She will be able to structuring a growing platform to guaranty high quality services and maintenance to customers . Beyond the technical skills, he/she has a problem solver, a positive mindset towards challenges and enjoy learning new tools to overcome them.



  • Python and/or Go-Lang experience of 3+ years

  • Experience / interest in working with Rust is desirable

  • Working with real-time concurrent systems

  • Building scalable and reliable Back-end architectures

  • Implementing fast and robust control system architecture



  • Working with time series databases

  • Experience in building monitoring and tracing within distributed systems

  • Experience with Docker and containerisation

  • Working in a data-centric organisation

  • Experience with energy or Financial trading systems
